• Novel in-situ HDO strategy with H 2 O as hydrogen source. N-doped reduced graphene oxide (RGO) advanced supports. Comparison among Pt-based and Ni RGO supported catalysts for ‘H -free’ of guaiacol. Innovate route economically viable biomass upgrading. Herein we present an innovative model compounds upgrading via “H -free” hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) reactions. The underlaying idea is to implement a multifunctional catalyst able activate water subsequently use generated the process. In this sense have developed series effective Pt based on N-promoted decorated ceria. reached commendable conversion levels selectivity mono-oxygenated considering very challenging reaction conditions. outperforms when samples are tested as-prepared. However, performance remarkably boosted upon applying pre-conditioning reductive treatment. Indeed, our NiCeO /GOr-N best activity/selectivity balance it deemed promising conduct -free reaction. Overall, “proof-concept” showcases appealing bio-compounds evidencing key role low carbon future.

Highly reduced graphene oxide supported Pt nanocomposites as highly efficient catalysts for methanol oxidation.
The highly reduced graphene oxide using solvated electrons as reductive agents shows low defects and well dispersion that are vital as the support of Pt nanoparticles in direct methanol electro-oxidation. The electrochemical experiments demonstrate that the Pt/RGO composites not only greatly enhance the catalytic activity but also dramatically improve the durability of the catalyst.
متن کاملDirectional liquefaction of biomass for phenolic compounds and in situ hydrodeoxygenation upgrading of phenolics using bifunctional catalysts
Phenolic compounds derived from biomass are important feedstocks for the sustainable production of hydrocarbon biofuels. Hydrodeoxygenation is an effective process to remove oxygen-containing functionalities in phenolic compounds. This paper reported a simple method for producing hydrocarbons by liquefying biomass and upgrading liquefied products. Three phenolic compounds fractions (1#, 2#, and...
متن کاملBIMETALLIC Pt-Ni CATALYSTS SUPPORTED ON USY ZEOLITE FOR n-HEXANE ISOMERIZATION
Isomerization of linear alkanes has had considerable importance for the refining industry because the isomers formed in this reaction have high octane number. Most works reported in the literature studied the use of bifunctional catalysts, i.e., ones that have acid sites and metallic sites. In this study, bifunctional monometallic (Ni or Pt) and bimetallic catalysts (Pt-Ni), using HUSY zeolite ...
متن کاملDispersion of Pt Nanoparticle-Doped Reduced Graphene Oxide Using Aniline as a Stabilizer
In this study, a simple one-step method was developed to load small-sized Pt nanoparticles (3.1 ± 0.3 nm) in large quantities (50 wt %) on aniline-functionalized and reduced graphene oxide (r-fGO). In the process, an ethylene glycol solution and aniline-functionalized moiety play the roles of reducing agent and stabilizer for the Pt nanoparticles, respectively, without damaging the graphite str...
متن کاملReduced graphene oxide supported piperazine in aminocatalysis.
Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been used as a support for piperazine to provide a heterogeneous bifunctional organocatalyst (rGO-NH) that is able to efficiently promote vintage organic transformations such as Knoevenagel, Michael and aldol reactions. The obtained results suggest a significant role of the support in the course of these reactions.
